Against a backdrop of strong growth in its core markets, RubberGreen is investing to adapt its existing facilities to the current and future requirements of its customers and is embarking on an ambitious investment programme on the innovative theme of devulcanisation/revulcanisation of recycled rubber. This concept, known as RubberGreenCycle, aims to create a circular economy for recycled rubber, particularly that produced from end-of-life tyres. Initially, this concept will be used for the commercial applications developed by RubberGreen, namely sound and vibration insulation for building and rail infrastructures. Secondly, the devulcanised rubber produced by RubberGreenCycle will be marketed to formulators and master batch producers, and will constitute a significant end-of-life tyre recycling stream in the Walloon Region.
