David draws on his technical expertise in financial modelling, the construction value chain and circular innovations, as well as his skills in market analysis and stakeholder management, to provide effective solutions to societal challenges.
David will present an analysis of the business model of the MOBICCON-PRO project, which develops, introduces and demonstrates integrated and innovative circular solutions for the recovery of resources from construction and demolition waste (CDW), while reducing the consumption of raw materials. This is achieved through selective in-situ separation and demolition, new DCD recycling processes and the production of innovative recycled construction materials, components and products.
The project is currently testing innovative technical, economic, consumption and social models for the management of DCD to reinforce the viability of the circular economy concept, by:
> Prototyping innovative mobile equipment and technical solutions to guarantee the high quality of recycled materials and products
> Developing advanced LCA/CCA tools, digitalising the management of DCD and recycled products, and
> Applying innovative construction materials and products on demonstration sites.
The viability and sustainability of these solutions are assessed in order to adjust and validate the business model before rolling it out on a larger scale.
