The 8th edition of the International Conferences on Green Chemistry and White Biotechnologies , will eventually take place on 28 & 29 september 2022. It will be dedicated to “Digital Transformation: Innovation booster for Green Chemistry and White Biotechs”. They will be held at the Sart-Tilman University Campus, under the auspices of ULiège.
This is the event you have to attend if you want to get an overview on the European Commission activities around Industry 5.0 and Artificial Intelligence, with a description on the main funding opportunities related with those activities, in particular in areas related with research, innovation and digital transformation.
David ARRANZ is a physicist by training, with a specialisation in biomaterials, and with a Masters in IT management. His professional career started in the telecommunications sector, where he worked on software development, web technologies and in Research & Development. He joined the European Commission in 2007 and since then he has worked in different areas. He started as IT Project Manager and over the last decade, he has worked in data, statistics and economic analysis in different policy areas (labour market, social policies and taxation).
He has recently joined DG Research and Innovation to work as policy officer in the Industry 5.0 unit. His main responsibilities are on Artificial Intelligence and digital.
About the Conferences…
The purpose of the conferences is to screen the digital technology used to boost activities in the fields of green chemistry and white biotechnology around the world, to share knowledge and encourage the creation of new R&D projects in the sector at regional and international scale.
The first day, on 28 September, will focus on Data Science while the second one, on 29 September, will focus on Artificial Intelligence.
