SCOT Final Conference on CO2 Re-use

For the last two years, GreenWin has been part of the SCOT (Smart CO2Transformation) consortium like coordinator, a collaborative European project in the area of CO2re-use. CO2 re-use is a broad term that covers a variety of innovative industrial processes which use CO2 from point source emitters (and in the future from direct air capture) as a feedstock to transform CO2 into value added products.

The main objective of the SCOT project is to define a Strategic European Research and Innovation Agenda for Europe in the field of CO2 re-use. On 29 June, SCOT held its closing conference in Brussels. Coordinator Project Manager Youssef Travaly from GreenWin was a speaker of the conference. Experts from universities, industry and policy came together to share their knowledge and experiences on CO re-use, and discuss the hurdles and opportunities of this sector for a low-carbon industrial Europe. A summary of the conference, including impressions from SCOT team members, pictures and all presentations is available on the Community Portal of www.scotproject.org. The conference is also featured as “Special Topic” in the July/August edition of the Carbon Capture Journal, which can be downloaded there as well.
