Training projects

Implementation of the training strategy

The Cluster relies on three factors in establishing its training strategy:

  1. Demand analysis, to target the present and future needs of Cluster members
  2. Cartographic analysis of the existing offer, so as to exploit all possible synergies in a balanced manner; making the best use of all the resources available in Wallonia; avoiding any duplication of activities between the different organisations
  3. A comparative analysis of supply and demand in order to identify requirements which are not met and should be the subject of corrective action

Requirements of member businesses

The training strategy of the Cluster is mainly focused on two types of needs of business partners:

  • Green mutation of existing occupations (e.g. design/architecture, heating and ventilation, chemical / biological processes), of which a major part of the themes and content of training remain to be developed
  • The new green activities include totally new aspects which have emerged in recent years as a result of increasing environmental concern. These new green occupations include carbon auditors, LCA experts, auditors/consultants in energy/environment, eco-designers, experts in biomass and carbon strategy, industrial ecologists, waste recyclers and brokers, advanced-technology insulation installers, etc.

The skills to be strengthened as a matter of priority concern the following 12 domains:

  • "Green" vocabulary and concepts
