Presentation

A universally recognised competitiveness cluster, GreenWin devotes its energies to the economic development of Wallonia and to promoting the development of its industry. It brings together in a single network small and large companies, universities, research centres, training providers and organisations promoting the green economy and driven by the opportunities afforded by the pooling of skills and resources.

GreenWin is structured around three strategic hubs that focus on the life cycle of material, the objective being to offer its members strategic monitoring and a shared vision.

The cluster’s core objective is to strengthen Wallonia’s industrial fabric, identify skills and innovative ideas, and to set-up, select and support business-led projects in partnership with other members of the cluster. Approved by independent experts and responding to the principles of sustainable development, selected files form part of a high-quality portfolio with a global impact.

GreenWin has a solid operations unit, one founded on a network of experts and in direct contact with all stakeholders in sustainable development. Boasting a permanent structure, it provides effective support and a bespoke service, all in complete confidentiality.

GreenWin offers its members the following:

  • A meeting forum
  • Support for creating projects
  • Assistance in securing funding
  • International visibility
Jean-François Héris

My objective as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of GreenWin is to work towards the economic development of Wallonia by harnessing its potential.

Economic development and job creation are dependent on the continued production capabilities of the industrial base. Industrial enterprises cannot continue to operate in Wallonia without an ongoing and permanent process of innovation, carried out in partnership with universities and research centres. In today’s world innovation necessarily encompasses greening components in all their dimensions.

Our region has significant industrial and technological resources at its disposal, not to mention remarkable research centres and, above all, skilled men and women motivated by the creation of a new economic vision responding to the principles of sustainable development. Their only goal in joining forces is to pool their expertise and drive forward innovative projects. GreenWin seeks to support them by offering guidance for their projects as well as an exchange platform and international visibility in particular.
